Alyssa Fenix was born and raised in Maryland and currently resides in Catonsville with her wife and two sons.   She is a full time teacher and an advisor of two clubs focused on diversity and acceptance: Gay Straight Alliance and Best Buddies.  She particularly enjoys using her photography as a means of communicating values and presenting ideas through her lens of the world.  She also believes that photographs can help bridge differences between individuals and groups through shared appreciation of experiences.

Alyssa has experience photographing a variety of events and settings, but has particular interest in capturing connections between people and the world around them: including portrait sessions and cultural traditions and ceremonies.   She is also interested in capturing various forms of activism and communicative forms of art.  If you have ideas, Alyssa is willing to explore new concepts and take on new projects, just send her a message through the site, or feel free to email or call her.
